“ Silver Diner Rockville is a fan favorite in my friend group. We try to make a trip out of DC and to Rockville once a month to visit all the big department stores and we make Silver Diner our end destination every time. The menu is huge and you truly can find something for everyone. I have probably visited here 6x in the past 2 years and the ONLY time it didn't hit was when I ordered the low-cal menu bibimbap, which honestly just made me a little sick and I should've just gotten something I usually love anyway. Some of my past favorites are the crab pasta, the reuben sandwich, and the chicken pot pie. The meatloaf is honestly not bad either. They also make gigantic custom milk-(and nondairy) shakes too, and my favorite is the banana nutella though strawberry is a close second. All in all- Silver Diner is a win and I do recommend. ”
“ Brian our server was extraordinary with pleasing personality he was attentive and accommodating to our need..he is definitely an asset to the Silver Diner family. Thank you brian ”
“ It's my favorite restaurant. It's not fancy but the menu is varied and flexible for a range of different dietary needs. Service is speedy and portions are large. It looks like a diner but the menu is so more than just a typical diner menu. It's loud and family friendly, not much ambiance to speak of, but ambience is not why you go to silver diner! ”
“ I've been coming to Silver Diner for years and it still holds up as my favorite diner in the DMV. I always get breakfast, no matter what time of day it is. My standard is the American Breakfast - two eggs (over easy for me), two sausage patties, potatoes and a biscuit. Simple, easy, and done perfectly well at Silver Diner. My son always gets a milkshake, and my wife always tries one of Chef Ype's fancy/healthy items. Something for everyone and it all tastes great! Chef Ype is a local success story and Silver Diner is tops in my book. Even if you just want standard diner food, you can skip the quinoa and assorted fancy stuff and still get a stick-to-your-ribs meal. What are you waiting for? Stop by Silver Diner and enjoy the food! ”
“ Fun diner with lots of creative food! Love the classic diner set up, feels very nostalgic. Have dined here a few times and enjoyed it each time. This time we went for a burger and a chicken sandwich, both of which were very tasty. ”
“ I love a fun place to eat. You know what? Silver diner is not only fun...the food is on point. We took my aunt there before she returned home on one of her retirement road trips. Breakfast that Sunday was PACKED!! I don't mean regular busy, folks. I mean they musta been giving out free Jesus and Nike Air Jordan's kinda packed. This is a good thing. Busy restaurants don't serve stale food. Let me assure you - Silver Diner earns their frenetic pace. Service was friendly, prompt, and most critically - accurate. That is right. The down side of busy is that orders can become mismanaged. Thankfully, that was never the case for us. Every specialty request was handled correctly. This is impressive for any restaurant, let alone a diner. Food quality was again a standout. Orange juice was fresh, flavorful, and properly chilled. Pancakes were light, fluffy, redolent of yeast, and carrying that delightful crispy umami exterior from butter grilling on the plancha. Bacon and sausage were bursting with salty goodness to cut through rich syrup. All in all - the food was far better than I expected. We will 100% go back to Silver Diner. It only took us 15 years to try it but they have earned one more in a legion of welcoming fans. Diner well, my friends! ”
“ Still one of my favorite diners I've eaten at (and at this location). They're known for their milkshakes (aka my famous chunky monkey), but I've been trying to eat healthier lately and I was happy to see they had a lower calorie section in their menu. Service was average. We went on Easter Day, so it was quite busy, but we did have to wave down our waiter a few times. It was pretty busy with people coming right after church. The staff were all wearing bunny ears for the occasion which was a playful touch. A pretty casual diner but it feels very homey. ”
“ I have yet to have a bad experience at any Silver Diner and this location lived up to the reputation that I have come to expect. The waitress was was really nice and service was good. The food was good and the portion size was adequate. The parking was great as well. If you are looking for good diner food, then Silver Diner can't be beat. ”
